  16. Two days ago I was GIVEN (!) an essentially new-in-the-box Amiga 2500 --
  17. 30MB disk, 3Megs o' RAM, WB 1.3... in other words, completely stock, circa
  18. 1988. It had sat in storage for most all of this time. Naturally, I
  19. immediately thought: "Hey, another machine to run LW on, now that the
  20. standalone walks the earth." However....

  22. Does anyone have any experience comparing the costs of upgrading such an old
  23. beast to a LW-useful state, compared to simply going out and buying a
  24. new 4000 or even 1200? Obviously the performance will suffer compared to
  25. Warp'd-up newer machines, but would I actually save any money by setting this
  26. up?
